Mary Hogan has a gift for telling stories that will suck readers in and Pretty Face is no exception!

Hayley doesn’t feel like she fits in on the beaches of Santa Monica. She isn’t blond or superskinny and she wouldn’t be caught dead in a bikini like most California girls. Hayley is smart and has a witty sense of humor but she doesn’t have the body that she wants. She is known as the funny girl with the “pretty face” and she knows that she will never have a chance with Drew, the guy she has a major crush on.

But things start to look up for Hayley when her parents surprise her with a trip to Italy, just for fun. Once in Italy, Hayley begins to relax and starts to finally enjoy life. She begins to realize that her body isn’t as awful as she thought and that she is “curvy” not “fat”. As she starts to fall in love with Italy and learns to love herself as well she may even find true love.
